Service Level Agreement

The 99.9% uptime commitment for Computus dedicated servers, how credits are calculated, and how to claim one.

This Service Level Agreement (“SLA”) is part of the Terms of Service between Penetrum LLC d/b/a Computus (“Computus”) and the customer.

Effective July 28, 2026.

1. Uptime commitment

Computus commits to 99.9% network uptime for dedicated servers, measured over your annual measurement period: the twelve month service period beginning on your service start date, and each twelve month period thereafter. “Network uptime” means the availability of Computus’s network path to your server. It does not cover downtime caused by:

  • Your own operating system, application, or configuration.
  • Scheduled maintenance, announced in advance where practical.
  • Circumstances outside our reasonable control (force majeure).
  • Actions taken to suspend service under the Acceptable Use Policy.

2. Credit calculation

If your actual uptime over an annual measurement period falls below 99.9%, you are eligible for a service credit. The credit is calculated as the shortfall below 99.9% (for example, actual uptime of 99.7% is a 0.2% shortfall), applied as a percentage to the fees you paid for the affected server during that annual measurement period, up to a maximum of one month’s service fee for that server.

3. Claiming a credit

To claim a credit, email support@computus.io with the affected server, the dates and times of the downtime, and any supporting information, within 30 days of the end of the annual measurement period. Computus will review the claim against its own monitoring and network records and apply any credit due to your next invoice.

4. Sole remedy

Service credits under this SLA are your sole and exclusive remedy for failure to meet the uptime commitment in this section.

5. Changes to this SLA

Computus may update this SLA from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page and will not apply retroactively to downtime that already occurred.
