Acceptable Use Policy

Rules for acceptable use of Computus dedicated servers and network.

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to all use of services provided by Penetrum LLC d/b/a Computus (“Computus”). It is part of the Terms of Service.

Effective July 28, 2026.

1. Prohibited activity

You may not use a Computus server or network to:

  • Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operate spam infrastructure.
  • Distribute malware, run botnet command and control, or launch attacks against other networks or systems.
  • Host content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights.
  • Host content that is illegal under applicable law.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or networks not owned by you, including port scanning or exploitation directed at third parties.
  • Interfere with or degrade the network or infrastructure used by other Computus customers.

2. Network abuse

Activity that materially degrades Computus’s network for other customers, including but not limited to outbound denial of service traffic, may result in immediate suspension while the issue is investigated.

3. Reporting abuse

Reports of abuse originating from a Computus server can be sent to support@computus.io. See the DMCA and Abuse Policy for details on how reports are handled.

4. Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in a warning, suspension, or termination of service, at Computus’s discretion, depending on severity. Where practical, Computus will notify you of a suspected violation and give you 2 business days to respond before suspending service; if you do not respond within that window, Computus may suspend service immediately. Regardless of that response window, Computus may suspend service immediately and without notice where necessary to stop an active attack, active abuse, or content that is illegal under applicable law.

5. Changes to this policy

Computus may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page.
