Privacy Policy

How Computus collects, uses, and protects customer and visitor information.

This Privacy Policy describes how Penetrum LLC d/b/a Computus (“Computus”) handles information in connection with the Computus website and dedicated server hosting service.

Effective July 28, 2026.

1. Information we collect

Account and billing information. When you order a server, we collect the contact and billing information needed to provision and invoice the service.

Support communications. Email and other correspondence you send us in the course of requesting or using the service.

Technical and network logs. Information generated by operating our network and infrastructure, such as connection and access logs necessary to run and secure the service.

We do not collect information from visitors to this website beyond what is necessary to serve the page. The Computus website does not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or externally hosted fonts or scripts.

2. How we use information

We use the information above to provision and operate your service, bill you, respond to support requests, secure our network, and comply with legal obligations.

3. What we don’t do

We do not sell customer information. We do not inspect the contents of your server or its traffic except as needed to investigate a specific abuse report or at your request for support.

4. Sharing

We do not share customer information with third parties except: service providers who need it to help us operate the business, when required by law, or with your consent. We use Stripe to process payments; Stripe receives the billing information needed to process your payment as our payment subprocessor.

5. Data retention

We retain the following:

  • Network and security logs — retained for 90 days, then deleted.
  • Billing records — retained for as long as your account is active and afterward as needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
  • Account contact information — retained for as long as your account is active and afterward as needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

6. Your server, your data

Data you store or process on your own server is yours. Computus does not access, back up, or manage that data on your behalf; see the Terms of Service.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information we hold, including restricting out of band server access to per-customer credentials.

8. Changes to this policy

Computus may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page.
